Among our most fundamental beliefs is that the number one factor in a player being able to play competitive travel baseball is their desire to play, not their families finances.
A Tradition of Team Spirit
The Pandas/Mesa Baseball program, from its inception has been a community fundraiser driven model. As a condition of playing for the Pandas, we NEVER ask parents to write a check to cover the costs associated with playing in the tournaments we choose to play in, or for the rental of facilities to work out in during the winter. We do however expect all players to participate in our organizational fundraisers. These limited fundraiser events cover tournament entry fees, insurance, and background screening (for adults) as well as necessary tournament travel related costs for kids who may not otherwise
financially be able to go.
"Hybrid" Competitive Travel Ball
Baseball is a game for these kids, not a full time job. We believe athletes should not only be able to, but should be encouraged to do other things. We travel only 3-5 times a year to tournaments where we believe the experience will fundamentally grow our players abilities while providing a good experience. As a condition of playing, depending on age, our players are required to either play with their high school programs during their official spring season; or play rec ball in the spring through either their Little League, or our Babe Ruth program. This gives these kids the ability to compete with their schools and compete for lasting, meaningful championships during the tournament season. It keeps talented kids in rec programs which grows other players while still allowing these kids a travel ball experience, without breaking the bank.
